Hola Super, hace unos minutos pregunté en el café de Wikinoticias en inglés haber si era posible que nos ayudaran con la pestaña de los comentarios, ya que ellos si la tienen y les funciona de maravilla. Como no hablo muy bien ingles (uso traductor xDD) les dije que le avisaría a un administrador de acá. Bug en las listas dinámicas del mediawiki?

Fijate lo que me paso recién, categorizando Mar del Plata, me aparecieron dos noticias archivadas al tope de Categoría:Argentina y otras. En la portada no aparece, porque para protegernos de ese asunto, yo una vez le puse notcategory=Archivados. No se si fue la estandarización de plantillas del Bot, o fue mi categorización, o combinación de las dos cosas. uno dos Raro no? Shooke ^(Discusión) 23:55 8 mar 2011 (UTC)

Indicadores económicos y enlaces interlingüísticos

Hello. Sorry for speaking English. A template "Indicadores económicos" was created at the Albanian Wikinews (sq:Stampa:Treguesit ekonomikë). An interlanguage link was added to the French template, but your bot removed it when it made an update. Could you add this interlanguage link to your bot's documentation or to the source template (I don't know wich one it is, maybe this one?). There are at least 5 such templates : en, es, fr, it, sq.

BOT-Superzerocool and "Sin fuentes"

Hello! I've seen that your bot added the "Sin fuentes" template (wich I suppose is to tag unsourced articles) to this page, although there was already 4 sources. I've removed it while adding an interlanguage link. Tell me if I was wrong. If not there may be some other tagging such as this one (3 sources) wich can be disputed. Yes I've seen it was an article nominated for deletion, but it was just for example (I agree it was maybe not a good one ). The thing that seemed strange to me was that your bot added the template, even if there was some sources. At that time, there was no section called "Fuentes", but there was already one called... "Fuente" (wich probably means "source"?). Does your bot normally add "Sin fuentes" to pages with only one source ? --Xiglofre (discusión, Wikinoticias en francés) , 15:20 17 oct 2011 (UTC).

Well it was an observation, but maybe the template "fuente" would be a better marker (although the presence of the template does not mean there's something in it (exemple : *{{fuente|idioma=|url=|título=|autor=|pub=|fecha=}}). Hola, estoy observando WikiNoticias para un estudio etnográfico. He visto que, por ejemplo, la noticia Niño brasileño despierta durante su funeral, pidió tomar agua y volvió a morir [4] se creaba el 10 de junio y el día 19 se bloqueaba la edición desde tu BOT. Quiero entender como funciona. ¿Hay un plazo en el que cualquier noticia se bloquea de edición? ¿Es algo que siempre se hace a través de un BOT? ¿Es tu BOT el encargado? ¿Se hace sólo en noticias relacionadas con defunciones? 'ello. Having fun hacking about in the WMF 'lab'?

My new lab has a couple of these, and a few other nice boxes.

We did some pretty nifty stuff for the 2012 Paralympics (using a VM I rented for a couple of months); considering who I now work for, I have zero free hours to play with wiki stuff. But, we used Dropbox to get files (audio, video, images) from the games to on-wiki. That, niftily, included format conversion to what the WMF is most-happy with (for audio and video).

It was a nasty little bunch of shell-scripted cron jobs that scanned the dropbox folders — but, go ask Laura Hale how well that worked. Now? I want to do it with OwnCloud. And, if The Wikinewsie Group (TWG) can secure grant funding to get the hardware I want?

You do know that five-nines uptime is under ten minutes downtime per year? What's that worth? Plus, the disaster-tolerance that one of those boxes went down with one of the WTC towers 12 years ago and the system didn't break stride! --Brian McNeil/^talk 19:27 11 sep 2013 (UTC)

Título de la fuente

Hola Superzerocool, sobre el artículo Papa Francisco apacerá en la portada de revista Rolling Stone, si la fuente tiene el título todo en en mayúsculas, ¿tiene que tenerlo todo en mayúsculas acá? An important message about renaming users

Dear Superzerocool, My aplogies for writing in English. Please translate or have this translated for you if it will help. I am cross-posting this message to many places to make sure everyone who is a Wikimedia Foundation project bureaucrat receives a copy. If you are a bureaucrat on more than one wiki, you will receive this message on each wiki where you are a bureaucrat.

As you may have seen, work to perform the Wikimedia cluster-wide single-user login finalisation (SUL finalisation) is taking place. This may potentially effect your work as a local bureaucrat, so please read this message carefully.

Why is this happening? As currently stated at the global rename policy, a global account is a name linked to a single user across all Wikimedia wikis, with local accounts unified into a global collection. Previously, the only way to rename a unified user was to individually rename every local account. This was an extremely difficult and time-consuming task, both for stewards and for the users who had to initiate discussions with local bureaucrats (who perform local renames to date) on every wiki with available bureaucrats. The process took a very long time, since it's difficult to coordinate crosswiki renames among the projects and bureaucrats involved in individual projects.

The SUL finalisation will be taking place in stages, and one of the first stages will be to turn off Special:RenameUser locally. This needs to be done as soon as possible, on advice and input from Stewards and engineers for the project, so that no more accounts that are unified globally are broken by a local rename to usurp the global account name. Once this is done, the process of global name unification can begin. The date that has been chosen to turn off local renaming and shift over to entirely global renaming is 15 September 2014, or three weeks time from now. In place of local renames is a new tool, hosted on Meta, that allows for global renames on all wikis where the name is not registered will be deployed.

Your help is greatly needed during this process and going forward in the future if, as a bureaucrat, renaming users is something that you do or have an interest in participating in. The Wikimedia Stewards have set up, and are in charge of, a new community usergroup on Meta in order to share knowledge and work together on renaming accounts globally, called Global renamers. Stewards are in the process of creating documentation to help global renamers to get used to and learn more about global accounts and tools and Meta in general as well as the application format. As transparency is a valuable thing in our movement, the Stewards would like to have at least a brief public application period. If you are an experienced renamer as a local bureaucrat, the process of becoming a part of this group could take as little as 24 hours to complete. You, as a bureaucrat, should be able to apply for the global renamer right on Meta by the requests for global permissions page on 1 September, a week from now.

In the meantime please update your local page where users request renames to reflect this move to global renaming, and if there is a rename request and the user has edited more than one wiki with the name, please send them to the request page for a global rename.

Stewards greatly appreciate the trust local communities have in you and want to make this transition as easy as possible so that the two groups can start working together to ensure everyone has a unique login identity across Wikimedia projects. Completing this project will allow for long-desired universal tools like a global watchlist, global notifications and many, many more features to make work easier.

Estaba intentando enlazar en las categorías, datos que se tomen directamente de Wikidata, pero tenemos un problema, por ejemplo, si queremos tener actualizada la población de un país, por ejemplo España, nosotros tenemos en la Categoría:España, pero al intentar enlazar a Wikidata, enlaza a la categoría:España en la base de datos, que es distinta a la de España en simisma, que ahi es donde estan los datos generales del pais. Comence Módulo:Wikidata y Módulo:Wikibase, y además {{Propiedad}}, pero aún no puedo ver que funcione. Un abrazo Shooke ^(Discusión) 21:13 23 abr 2016 (UTC)

Lo que más recuerdo así era la función de archivado de noticias (protección automática). Ten en cuenta que ahora puedes usar OAuth para limitar el acceso del bot a lo estrictamente necesario para su funcionamiento si deseas usar dicha opción :) Saludos, MarcoAurelio (discusión) 11:02 13 feb 2017 (UTC)

Hola, no hay una política local, pero de igual forma no veía utilidad que los bots siguieran con el permiso si no estaban funcionando en el proyecto (considerando que también tienen la habilidad de editar páginas protegidas), con respecto a lo otro, voy a avisar a los controladores y como adicional un aviso en el café.
