Cómo escribir un artículo
  1. Elija un evento actual.
  2. Utilice dos fuentes verificables.
  3. Lea las fuentes antes de escribir la noticia usando sus propias palabras. Elija un título único antes de iniciar.
  4. Siga la estructura de Wikinoticias al editar artículos, respondiendo quién, qué, dónde, cuándo, cómo y por qué, resumido en un párrafo introductorio que tenga de una a tres frases. En su totalidad, el artículo debe estar compuesto por tres o más párrafos.

Para ayudarla a comenzar a editar, tenemos un modelo que muestra la estructura necesaria para redactar artículos. Hay muchas otras cosas que puede hacer en este proyecto, pero su esencia son las noticias nuevas, actuales y escritas con neutralidad.

Estas son las políticas oficiales del proyecto. Pueden serle útiles si en sus primeros pasos al escribir artículos si le notifican que no cumple alguna de ellas. Si esto sucede, no se desanime, pues todos fuimos novatos en algún momento.

Estas normas y guías pretenden lograr que el contenido del proyecto alcance altos estándares y cumplan las normas que la Fundación Wikimedia aplica a todos sus proyectos. Podría parecer que hay mucho que leer, pero no tiene que abarcarlo todo de una vez ni conocerlas todas antes de comenzar a contribuir.

Recuerde que es necesario que disfrute colaborando con este proyecto. Si necesita ayuda inmediata, converse con usuarios regulares. Normalmente hay alguien en los canales que estará encantado de ayudarla, aunque debe ser paciente pues es posible que no respondan de inmediato. Los canales de interés para los wikirreporteros son #wikinews-esentrar (nuestro canal principal), #wikinews-feedsentrar (nuestro canal de fuentes de noticias), #wikimedia-ayudaentrar (canal para solicitar ayuda) y #cvn-swentrar (canal de antivandalismo).

Lugares adonde ir, gente a quien conocer
Los proyectos Wikimedia operan gracias a su comunidad. Aunque escribir noticias es un trabajo mucho más individual que escribir en Wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre, es normal que las personas necesiten un poco de ayuda con cosas como la ortografía. Si una noticia no es muy antigua, usted puede expandirla, o si se argumenta contra su verificabilidad, puede tratar de encontrar más fuentes y rescatar la noticia antes de que se marque para su borrado.

Siempre se lleva a cabo discusiones acerca de cómo se podría mejorar el sitio y su comentario es valioso. Revise estos enlaces para ver dónde puede comentar acerca de Wikinoticias.

Busque ayuda e involúcrese

¡Escriba su primer artículo en Wikinoticias!
Utilice el siguiente cuadro para crear su primera noticia. Simplemente escriba un título y presione «Crear artículo». Luego, comience a redactar el texto de su noticia en el cuadro que aparecerá. Cuando termine, presione «Guardar la página». ¡Eso es todo lo que se requiere!

Es recomendable que lea la guía de creación de artículos antes de iniciar. Revise también la lista de artículos creados recientemente para comprobar que la noticia no se haya escrito todavía.
