Bienvenido/a a Wikinoticias
Comenzando a contribuir
Cómo escribir un artículo
  1. Elija un evento actual.
  2. Utilice dos fuentes verificables.

¡Bienvenido/a, Marinna!

Principales normas
Lugares adonde ir, gente a quien conocer

Interview

Hello, Marinna. I am a reviewer and accredited reporter from enwn. I am sorry I couldn't help earlier with the translation. I think there has been some confusion, while discussing with Pi zero. Can you please confirm some of the questions so we can clarify the situation? (It is possible the interview can be published on enwn, but for than can you please clarify these questions? I will ask one by one.

  1. Did you conduct the interview? Were you the one asking the questions?
  2. Where did you ask the questions?
  3. Where did the person reply to the answers?

Did you record the video/phone call to transcribe the answers? Or did you make any notes while you were on phone/video call?
acagastya ⚽️ 🏆 🎾 🚀 🔬 👟 🎬 🎼 📰 19:32 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
yes, the work contains private data of the interviewee, which is unethical to make public.
It would be possible to publish the translation en WNEN, if the interviewee sends an email privately, confirming that they are their answers. Marinna 19:45 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
If you have recordings, or notes, can you PRIVATELY share them? English Wikinews will NOT make private information public. Please let me know if it is possible to share it privately. We have a tool to privately share these things with the reviewer.
acagastya ⚽️ 🏆 🎾 🚀 🔬 👟 🎬 🎼 📰 19:50 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
Where should the interviewee send the privately email? confirming that they are your answers. Marinna 20:06, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
I am saying, can you privately share the recordings and notes? Is that possible? That information will NOT be accessible publicly, I guarantee you that. Please let me know in which format have you recorded them.
acagastya ⚽️ 🏆 🎾 🚀 🔬 👟 🎬 🎼 📰 20:17 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]

Thanks for your time. I do not reveal private information about the interviewee or myself; less for the interview to be translated in WNEN. But with pleasure, I repeat, I can send you a statement from the interviewee. Coridal greetings. Marinna 20:26 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]

As a reviewer, I need to look at the recordings and/notes to verify the interview took place and this was the answers. If you were to ask the interviewer to send an email confirmation, I would have to reask and reconduct the interview, because I have yet not seen the evidence. I repeat again, the private info will not be made public; and is accessible by very trustworthy English Wikinewsie. If it is not possible for you to share privately, then at the very least, the email would be appreciated. But then, I cannot guarantee you publication. The interview needs to be reconducted by someone on English Wikinews. Please let me knows if any of this will be suitable for you or not. (If you are okay sharing it privately, please email it to scoop@wn-reporters.org; and if you think you can't do that; then please advise how to contact the interviewer)
acagastya ⚽️ 🏆 🎾 🚀 🔬 👟 🎬 🎼 📰 20:40 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
I hope you understand the problem of not being able to verify the interview. Someone can come along and write "Wikinews interviews Lionel Messi" and there is no evidence provided to check if the interview actually happened. I am not accusing you of anything, let me make it clear. However, without verification, we cannot publish it. Please advise, if you can make some provisions for us to verify the interview by some sort or recording, or arranging the interview with enwn. Email is scoop@wn-reporters.org.
acagastya ⚽️ 🏆 🎾 🚀 🔬 👟 🎬 🎼 📰 20:45 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
I do not know which editor interviewed Messi, this is not that case. I contact the interviewee, and ask him to send the confirmation to the address that was provided to me. Regards. Marinna 21:06 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
The email was sent for us to verify the interview. Marinna 00:05 22 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]

I have received the email. However, regarding Messi, I am saying anyone can lie, saying they have interviewed Messi, and write an article on eswn. If that happens, how do you plan to prevent publication of falsified and fabricated interview? That is why I am saying, reviewers need to be able to review the interview. acagastya ⚽️ 🏆 🎾 🚀 🔬 👟 🎬 🎼 📰 02:24 22 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]

One more thing about forwarding emails to verify -- "Interviewee is only confirming that he spoke with the interviewee", is it not verifying that everything that is transcribed is exactly what they said. Human error is possible, maybe you misheard something while transcribing. Without making the interview recording available for reviewers, there is no way to be sure wha is published is 100% correct. In future, please tell the person whom you will interview, "this interview will be recorded and will be kept private, with only reviewers having access to it, for purpose of verification and publication". Otherwise, it is possible incorrect information will be published, which is equally worse for a news publisher. acagastya ⚽️ 🏆 🎾 🚀 🔬 👟 🎬 🎼 📰 05:15 22 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
The interviewee sent from his personal email: a confirmation making it extremely clear that his answers are in the interview and that those are his words. There are no interpretations, there is no confusion, there is no falsehood in the interview, and everything is clearly confirmed. I appreciate his instructions in this case. Complying with the privacy protocol, I will publish the translation of the interview and I await its publication. Marinna 15:39 22 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]

RE:

--Galahad (sasageyo!)(esvoy) 22:42 21 feb 2021 (UTC)[responder]
